World AIDS Day Donations

Annual Gospel Explosion
Annual Gospel Explosion to commemorate World AIDS Day. Held on December 1st every year, usually at St. Mark AME Zion Church, 4200 Alder Street, East Chicago, IN. The event includes gospel choirs, praise dance ministries, poets, and more to bring a message of peace, hope, and love to those who are afflicted with HIV/AIDS. We also solicit the donation of canned goods or winter apparel (gloves, hats, scarves, etc.). In 2020, GAC held its first-ever virtual World AIDS Gospel Explosion which included a coloring contest for children (kindergarten through 3rd grade); a dance challenge (all ages), and an essay contest for students (4th grade-12th grade).
