The Pillowcase Project
February 8 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
-THE PILLOWCASE PROJECT-
In 2018, the American Red Cross announced one million 3rd through 5th-grade students learned how to prepare themselves, their households and their communities for emergencies by participating in The Pillowcase Project.
The curriculum is structured by a Learn, Practice, Share framework. Youth learn about the science of a locally relevant hazard and how to best prepare for it. They practice what to do if a disaster occurs and how to cope with related fear and stress. Afterward, they share the information and skills they have learned with their family and friends so everyone in the household knows what to do.
Bring your youth, ages 11-18 years of age to the Pillow Project. Sponsored by the GAC Emergency Response Team & the Educational Development Committee along with The American Red Cross.
